When selecting the size be aware that the size you select is the external measurement of the stretched canvas.
Float frame moulding dimensions - 5.5cm high, 3.5cm width and 1cm thick
The cotton gesso primed canvas is stretched over Meranti Hardwood stretcher bar frames. The reason for using this quality hardwood rather then inexpensive pine, is to ensure there is no shrinking, twisting or warping.
The stretched canvas frame is screwed to the float frame with Phillip head screws. Before unscrewing the frame, mark next to the screws on the stretcher bar frame so when re attaching it all lines up.
The frames come with two heavy duty D-Ring hanger hooks. We use this system rather then wire so the frame is flush with the wall. Hanging wires allow for the top of the frame to push away from the wall and over time lose strength.
